Hale Academy’s archery program is a part of the national Olympic Archery in the Schools program. This unique program offered to students in grades 2nd-12th is designed to be an introductory Olympic training program. Hale Academy participates in regional events held at near-by Newberry High School (a regional center for OAS) and in national events through what OAS calls “mail-in competitions.” Our middle and high school students both fared very well in the most recent national event. Mr. Daren Johnson, our athletic director, is a certified Intermediate Archery Instructor.
