Hale Academy’s mission is to provide the best and brightest students a traditional and relevant education in a safe environment and to develop students dedicated to a lifetime of learning, leaders devoted to their civic responsibilities and visionaries eager to accept the challenges of a global society.
Hale Academy is named after Nathan Hale, a teacher and officer of Knowlton’s Rangers in the American Revolution. He died as a martyr and American hero at the age of 21 in 1776. Hale is best remembered for his service to his country and his words at the time of his hanging when he stated that, “I regret that I have but one life to lose for my country.” If his deeds did not qualify him as a hero, his choices certainly did. Heroism lies in the choices we all must make.
Hale Academy represents a partnership among students, parents, faculty, administration, and staff. These partners are united in their commitment to the common objectives outlined in our mission and core values.
